Lura Care, finalist in Advanced Dentistry Awards and SEHTA Healthcare Business Awards

11/04/2025

Yesterday afternoon, at Lura Care we had the privilege of simultaneously attending as finalists at two major events held more than 1,100 kilometres apart: the Advanced Dentistry Awards 2025 ceremony held in Barcelona, and the SEHTA 2025 Healthcare Business Awards held in London.

Held within the framework of the Barcelona Dental Show, the Advanced Dentistry Awards are a competition aimed at companies, universities, suppliers, researchers and other entities that are committed to innovation and constant improvement in processes, techniques and treatments in the dentistry sector.

At Lura Care Spain we were honoured to be one of the three finalists in the Best Solution, Material or Treatment category, which aims to recognise projects that offer innovative solutions in clinical materials or treatments, improving patient comfort and success in dental care.

As for the SEHTA 2025 Healthcare Business Awards, we were finalists in the Best Start-up category, in these awards that aim to recognise the best collaborations between industry, academia and the National Health Service (NHS) in the South East of England, London, Oxford, Essex and the East of the country.

Sergi Comas, co-founder and CEO of Lura Care, took the stage to collect the award we received as finalists in the Advanced Dentistry Awards 2025 in Barcelona, while Xavi Comas, Global COO and Managing Director of Lura Care UK, attended the SEHTA 2025 Healthcare Business Awards ceremony in London.

Although we did not win the awards, the fact of being among the finalists in these prestigious competitions is of great significance for us, and follows on from the recognition we have received as Best International Mobile Healthcare Provider in Europe 2024 at the Global Excellence Awards, and the Investment Award in the II Santander SME Award.

For 10 years, at Lura Care we have been working intensively with a single objective: to break the mobility barrier so that oral health care can reach all people who are dependent or have mobility problems, attending them in their own place of residence whenever possible.

Throughout our history, we have shown that mobile dental services are an innovative and perfectly viable model, as demonstrated by the more than 120,000 people we have cared for in Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom, and the trust placed in us by the more than 1,000 homes and day centres with which we collaborate.

Home health services are a real need in the face of an ageing population and increasing longevity, which will undoubtedly result in more dependent people or those with limited autonomy. And the dentistry sector cannot remain oblivious to this reality.

Therefore, the fact that our model is recognised at major events aimed at recognising innovation shows that something is changing in the dental sector. And at Lura Care we will continue to work to make home dental care a reality for all people throughout Europe, wherever they are and whatever their condition.
