We had the honour to attend such a prestigious event held at the Embassy of Spain in the United Kingdom, where we had the opportunity to meet with several other Spanish companies established in the United Kingdom, and to continue to strengthen the solid business ties between the two countries.

Yesterday night, Xavier Comas, Global Chief Operations Officer and UK Managing Director of Lura Care, had the honour of representing our company at the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom Annual Patrons’ Dinner, hosted by H.E. Emma Aparici Vázquez de Parga, newly appointed Ambassador of Spain at the Embassy of Spain in the United Kingdom.
It was a real pleasure to meet and exchange ideas with executives from other Spanish companies established in the United Kingdom, Spain’s second largest international market, and participate in such a prestigious event organised by this organization, which plays a pivotal role in the commercial and economic relations between the two countries.
The evening featured welcoming words from H.E. the Ambassador, followed by remarks from Mr. Juan Carlos Machuca, President of the Spanish Chamber. He highlighted the Patrons as the true driving force behind the Spanish Chamber, emphasising how their expertise, leadership and engagement enable the institution to foster connections across sectors, support both Spanish and British companies, and deliver tangible value through its initiatives.
We were also honoured to hear from the Guests of Honour Mr. Antonio Garamendi, President of the Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales (CEOE), and Mr. José Luis Bonet, President of Chamber of Commerce of Spain, who reflected on the true strength and future potential of Spain–UK economic relations.
Promoting domiciliary dental care in the UK
The invitation of Lura Care as Patron of Spanish Chamber is a further step in our growing relations between the British and Spanish business worlds, after being named winners of the Investment Award in recognition of our company’s international expansion process at the II Santander SME Awards.
Organised by the Spanish Chamber and supported by Banco Santander, these awards recognise the entrepreneurial efforts of SMEs in key areas such as innovation, investment, digitalisation, internationalisation, training and job creation, sustainability and diversity.
Lura Care began its journey in the United Kingdom in March 2024, launching domiciliary dental care services across London. Having partnered with over 280 care homes, we were proud to open our second dental hub in Manchester in October 2025, further strengthening our presence in the North of England.
We are very grateful to be able to be part of such a prestigious event, and we remain committed to our mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality dental care directly to those who need it most, and continue to strengthen the solid business ties between Spain and the United Kingdom.
